Hey there,
My thumb is definitely not green.
I try to grow plants, and though they do well for a time, eventually they all end up dead.
It’s frustrating because I love plants and flowers. And I want to enjoy them in and around my home.
But I never seem to know how often to water … or feed … or when to re-pot them.
Is it getting too much sun? Or not enough?
There’s so much to know and do, and my efforts fall short.
It occurs to me that Spirituality is similar to gardening.
It takes a lot of work to maintain your relationship with God. If you ignore it, just like a plant, it’s going to die. And your chances of going to heaven are at risk.
Fortunately, there are lots of ways to cultivate spirituality, with prayer, Scripture, Mass, and Adoration, to name just a few. This week’s issue of Genuflect shines the light on ways to grow your Spirituality … and overcome spiritual dryness, and spiritual battles.
So even if you don’t have a green thumb like me, you can work every day to cultivate your spirituality.
Keep Believing-
