Hey there,
Someone recently asked me what heaven is like.
After a little contemplation I came up with an answer, though it was mostly what heaven is not.
But it did get me thinking.
As Catholics we want to go to heaven one day. And here we’re always talking about how to get to heaven. But what is heaven?
Or at least, what does the Catholic Church say that heaven is?
This issue of Genuflect explores the Church’s teaching on heaven, what it’s not, what it is like, and something called the Beatific Vision.
But before you go any further … how would you describe heaven?
