About The Holy Cross Novena
The Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross every year on September 14th. The celebration began back in 335 … and became universally celebrated in 720. The feast commemorates Saint Helena’s finding of the True Cross and the dedication of the Basilica that was built on the spot where it was unearthed.
By exalting the Holy Cross, we reflect on it’s true meaning, celebrate Our Lord’s triumph over death, and remember that we are called to take up our own crosses.
