That’s the number of popes going back to the first, St. Peter, who was appointed by Jesus Christ.
I find it mind boggling to think about the formation of the Catholic church 2000+ years ago.
Communist dictators rose and fell.
New worlds were discovered.
Wars were fought.
And the Catholic Church lived on.
Granted, the devil has infiltrated our church as evidenced by the various scandals. We are a church run by humans.
But with faith, prayer, and God’s help, I believe Catholicism will defeat the devil in our midst. And the Catholic church will continue … stronger than ever.
