That’s “Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!” in Irish.
Today is March 17th when the Catholic church and the whole world celebrate St. Patrick.
Of course, a lot of the world sees the day as a time to celebrate their Irish heritage more so than the Saint. And as the saying goes, on St. Patrick’s Day, we’re all Irish. So everyone else can get in on the fun.
I must admit, I’ve never really looked closely at the life of Saint Patrick.
I’ve heard some things about him, as I’m sure you have too. His removal of the snakes in Ireland and the shamrock as an example of the Holy Trinity. Some of it is more myth than fact.
What is true is he lived an incredibly inspiring life, converting thousands of Irish to Catholicism despite great peril to his own life.
