Hey there,
February is here and while most people are preparing to recognize their loves in a few days, the Catholic church celebrates the Holy Family all month long.
Joseph, Mary, and Jesus … the Holy Family for us to emulate. They serve as our example, encouragement, and inspiration for how to build our family.
Pope Francis urges:
“Dear families, always live in faith and simplicity, like the Holy Family of Nazareth! The joy and peace of the Lord be always with you!”
This week’s issue of Genuflect focuses on the Holy Family: how to honor the Holy Family, virtues of a Holy Family, how dysfunctional families can be Holy, prayers for a Holy Family and for healing a broken family.
This month is best known for celebrating February 14th. And though you still have 9 days to buy candy and roses, today’s the day to begin praying the Novena to St. Valentine.
And to pray for our families.
