Hey there,
Have you ever wanted to be in two places at the same time?
With our busy lifestyles, it’s probable you’ve thought about this on more than one occasion.
We definitely could accomplish a lot more! So perhaps it’s not so far fetched to believe that Our Lord would use this type of miracle to accomplish more of HIs work through His beloved Saints.
The phenomenon is called bilocation. And there are numerous documented cases of Saints like Padre Pio, Saint Faustina, Saint John Bosco, Saint Anthony of Padua … and even the Blessed Mother Mary … to name just a few.
In recent weeks we’ve looked at miracles of Saints like levitation and stigmata. And that’s when I became aware of bilocation. This week, Genuflect looks at Saints who appeared in two locations. We explain what bilocation is, whether it’s really just a vision, Mary’s bilocation prior to her Assumption, why we shouldn’t ask to be able to bilocate, and numerous examples of Saints who bilocated.
Though it would be helpful to be in two places at once, the miracle of bilocation is reserved for exceptionally holy men and women who use it to do more of His work for others.

Mary’s Act of Bilocation
In the year 40 A.D., prior to her Assumption, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the apostle, Saint James the Great, in what is now Spain. She was living in Jerusalem at the time, so this Marian apparition is considered to be an act of bilocation. This is an amazing event with evidence that endures today, more than 2000 years later!
